
Seth L. Pearlman, President
Seth Pearlman brings almost 30 years of experience in the geotechnical industry to his position of president at DGI-Menard. As president, Seth is responsible for the development and management of all ground improvement projects in the US.
Before joining DGI-Menard, Seth was with Nicholson Construction Company for 17 years; most recently as vice president. He has designed hundreds of specialized geotechnical projects, published numerous technical papers and given frequent presentations.
Seth earned a BS and an MS in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
He is President of the Board of Trustees of the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI). He is a member of the Geo-Institute, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society and The Moles. He serves on an Advisory Council to the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Frederic Masse, Vice President of Engineering
Frederic Masse brings his strong technical skills and international experience in ground improvement to his role as vice president of engineering at DGI-Menard.
Frederic joined DGI-Menard following the merger of DGI and Menard Soiltreatment, Inc. Before the merger, Frederic was with Menard and its subsidiaries for eight years; most recently as the executive vice president of Sangjee Menard Co. Ltd. in South Korea and Far East regional manager for Menard.
At Menard, Frederic worked on Vacuum Consolidation, Dynamic Compaction and Dynamic Replacement projects in South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, the Philippines and Poland. He has also been involved in technical research on new technologies for soil improvement.
Frederic graduated with honors from Ecole Centrale in Paris, France, with an MS in Civil Engineering and Soil Mechanics.
Martin Taube, P.E, P.G., Director of Business Development
Marty Taube brings more than 20 years of experience to his role as Director of Business Development. In this position, he is responsible for business development and managing corporate sales and marketing.
Before joining DGI-Menard, Marty was with Nicholson Construction Company. He has held positions at Michael Baker Corporation, Orbital Engineering, Inc. and the US Army Corps of Engineers (Pittsburgh District).
Marty is registered as a professional engineer and professional geologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He received a BS in geophysics from Virginia Tech and an MS in civil (geotechnical) engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Marty has authored numerous papers relating to ground improvement and specialty geotechnical construction techniques.
Lyle Silverman, Vice President of Operations
Lyle Silverman brings 30 years of experience in specialty construction, ground improvement and deep foundation construction to his position as vice president of operations. He is responsible for the management of all Field Operations including production, scheduling, contract adherence, personnel selection and equipment selection. He is also responsible for management of Plant and Equipment including capitol equipment purchases, major rental equipment procurement, plant organization and staffing, and purchasing. In addition, he oversees contract review and negotiations, bid review, recruitment of field and plant employees and the design of new equipment and tooling.
Lyle started his career as a pile driver and was promoted over the years to foreman, superintendent, project manager, construction manager, senior construction manager, district manager, field operations manager and vice president of operations.
Lyle has been involved with numerous earth retaining and foundation support systems nationwide including the World Trade Center Recovery project, 30 Hudson Street in Jersey City, the Boston Central Artery/Tunnel and the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He has also been involved with numerous vibro technology and grouting projects.
Rick Hammers, Chief Financial Officer
Rick Hammers brings more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance to his position as CFO and company secretary. He is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, insurances and safety reporting. He is also responsible for Human Resources at DGI-Menard.
Rick joined DGI-Menard in 2003 as the controller and was promoted to CFO in 2005.
Before joining DGI-Menard, Rick worked as a senior accountant for several industrial and engineering companies including Paul Wurth, Inc., US Filter Corp., ICF Kaiser Engineers Inc.
Rick earned a BS in Business Administration from West Virginia University and is a member of CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association).
