Lyle Silverman Promoted to Vice President of Operations at DGI-Menard

Pittsburgh, PA (February 22, 2007): Lyle Silverman has been promoted to Vice President of Operations for DGI-Menard, ground improvement specialists. As Vice President of Operations, Silverman is responsible for the management of all Field Operations including production, scheduling, contract adherence, personnel selection and equipment selection. He is also responsible for management of Plant and Equipment including capitol equipment purchases, major rental equipment procurement, plant organization and staffing, and purchasing. In addition, he oversees contract review and negotiations, bid review, recruitment of field and plant employees and the design of new equipment and tooling.

Silverman joined DGI-Menard in 2004 as Field Operations Manager. During his first three years, Silverman managed the successful completion of more than 80 ground improvement projects for buildings, bridges and highways including the installation of Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC), Wick Drains, Stone Columns and Dynamic Compaction. He has been instrumental in growing the field and shop workforce by 30 people and developing a safety training program.

Silverman has 30 years of experience in specialty geotechnical construction, ground improvement and deep foundation construction. He started his career as a pile driver and was promoted over the years to foreman, superintendent, project manager, senior construction manager, district manager, field operations manager and vice president of operations. Silverman has been involved with numerous earth retaining and foundation support systems nationwide including the World Trade Center Recovery project, 30 Hudson Street in Jersey City, the Boston Central Artery/Tunnel and the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He has also been involved with numerous vibro technology and grouting projects.
