Menard is committed to a sustainable approach through our technologies, people and social responsibilities. We contribute to sustainability by developing innovative solutions and techniques that conserve natural resources and limit CO2 emissions and implementing behaviors and practices that meet these goals.
Here are just a few examples of our Sustainable Technology at work.
- Our Controlled Modulus Columns™ (CMCs) are an environmentally sound and economical solution for strengthening soft ground. CMCs are installed using a specially designed auger that displaces the soil laterally, with virtually no vibration and no spoil, eliminating the need to dispose of contaminated soil.
- We use recycled concrete as an aggregator in our Stone Columns.
- We have substantially reduced our use of paper by providing information electronically as often as possible.
CMC: A Technique that Respects the Environment
Across from the Manhattan skyscrapers, Menard installed Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC) for foundation support
of a prestigious residential complex. Since the CMC technique involves neither driving nor vibration and creates
no appreciable spoil, the environment is unaffected.
