Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC)®
Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC)® rigid inclusions are vertical, grouted elements that typically range in diameter from approximately 12 inches to 18 inches. CMCs were developed by Menard’s French affiliate, Menard Soltraitement, in 1994 and were patented in the US in 1999.
Earthquake Drains
Earthquake (EQ) drains are used to mitigate/limit the effects of seismically-induced liquefaction by allowing for the rapid dissipation of excess porewater pressures generated by seismic events.
Geotextile Encased Columns
Geotextile encased columns are columns of granular material are confined within high-strength geotextile fabric to increase bearing capacity and provide vertical support in extremely soft soils.

Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC)
Rapid Impact Compaction is a ground improvement technique that densifies the soil by pounding it at high frequency with a medium sized pounder.
Vibrocompaction
Vibrocompaction is a ground improvement technique that densifies the soil by shaking it with a vibro probe.
Wick Drains
Wick drains, also known as pre-fabricated vertical drains, are a cost-effective solution for accelerating the consolidation of fine-grained soils to expedite construction and limit long-term settlement.
Menard Vacuum™ Consolidation
Menard Vacuum™ is used to accelerate consolidation of cohesive, highly compressible soils. The process consists in creating a negative pressure under an airtight membrane laid over the soil, which generates atmospheric pressure on the soil, equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 4 metre embankment.
